This Forum is for members of the Democrats of the Red Rocks to post items of local, state and national interest for other members to read and comment on.
Democrats of the Red Rocks (DORR) is a registered Democratic Club for the Sedona, Village of Oak Creek and Verde Valley, Arizona communities. It began as a grass-roots organization of eight women in June, 2002, and grew quickly as more and more people realized the need for a Democratic voice in the community. We actively campaigned for Governor Janet Napolitano and for Arizona District 1 Congressional candidate George Cordova. We also endorsed and supported State Senator candidate Dawn Knight and State Representative candidate Henry Camarot. In March, 2003, the club officially registered with the State of Arizona as Democrats of the Red Rocks.
DORR’s mission is to get Democrats elected to government offices by:
- Increasing voter registration and voter turnout
- Promoting the Democratic Party
- Involving interested citizens in the Democratic Party and
- Educating voters
