As a Precinct Committee Person you will have the opportunity to meet your elected officials and help determine the outcome of elections. You will become part of the leadership team that helps to elect candidates who share the Democratic ideals of honest goverment and representation for all.
Most elections are won or lost based on the ability of their party to inspire, mobilize, and turnout their voters. It is vitally important that we have the leadership to beat the Republicans in 2002. Please become involved today!
The Precinct Committee is asking registered Democrats to help by becoming precinct workers. There are 100 precincts in Yavapai County and we can have a total of 306 precinct committee persons (PCPs). Last year we accomplished much more in terms of poll turnout, voter registration, and votes for Democrats by having many more precinct workers than in previous years. It is very effective in campaign work. The work can be adjusted to your skills and interests and available time. Even if you don't know your precinct, you can volunteer. We can tell you your precinct, what work is involved, and reassure you that it can be fun, lead to many new friendships, and give you lasting satisfaction for doing worthwhile work. You will also be one of the best-informed Democrats in Arizona. You can email the Yavapai County office here, send an E-mail to the County Chair Ben Furlong or telephone their office (928) 541-0413 and ask about precinct work. You can also view the PC Handbook.
